Long-range static elimination system

Fraser Anti-Static Techniques has launched a static eliminator which it says offers "unique performance and control".

The Ionstorm 3700 Controller and 3800 Bar are aimed at processes where long-range static elimination is required. Typical applications are on film winders and unwinders, large and small mouldings, food and pharmaceutical packaging and electronic and medical assembly. It is said to be suitable for use in most cleanrooms. The equipment allows the customer to regulate the range of static neutralisation from 300mm to over 1m from the object. The polarity and strength of the ionised emission can be adjusted and the settings locked to prevent unauthorised tampering. Other standard features are remote operation via a DIN connector, and a local and remote alarm. The Ionstorm 3800 Bar can be made in rigid lengths up to 3m, which can be joined together to form lengths up to 21m.
