Luwa housing competitively priced in UK

McLeod Russel UK now includes the Luwa Filtrasept terminal housing in its product range.

The company says that although the Filtrasept product has previously been available in the UK, its popularity "was eroded by price pressure". Now, however, alterations to the supply chain along with the inclusion of previously unavailable sizes are said to have made the unit "much more competitive". The housing is supplied with a replaceable HEPA filter and designed to provide air filtration and distribution in one unit. Spring clips hold the filter in place and prevent it from falling out while the corner clamps are being fitted or taken off, thus allowing one operative to fit or remove a filter. The brackets holding the filter in place are very small and mount onto a hook return fold on the base of the unit. This is said to prevent the airflow from being interrupted by large intrusive corner brackets, while the internally folded hook return minimises handling damage and provides a strong base to fit both filter brackets and grill. The standard unit features filter locating dimples that ensure the filter meets the double knife-edge seal. A pressure test port enables seal integrity and pressure drop tests to be carried out from room side, while the double knife-edge seal and hook return contribute to the overall rigidity of the unit making it more resistant to warping when tensioned against ceilings.
