Making light work of milk processing

A new Arla Foods milk processing plant in Leeds is using a combination of specially designed and standard luminaires from Whitecroft Lighting to ensure a high quality of lighting with a low total cost of ownership.

For the main production area Whitecroft designed and manufactured special luminaires to a cleanroom specification. They were supplied in five parts - housing, gear tray, reflector, lamps and louvres - to facilitate the installation process and reduce handling of materials on site. The specially designed fittings have also been used in the cold room, where there is no natural daylight, as well as in the milk reception area and service areas.
