Medisize expands bag manufacturing capability

Medisize, a Dutch specialist in custom-made, single use, sterile medical devices and primary pharmaceutical packaging, has increased bag manufacturing capability at its Donegal facility, Medisize Ireland.

The company has invested in new Radio Frequency (RF) welding machinery that will complement its expertise in the development and manufacture of multiple chamber bags and peelable seal technology based on thermal welding.

Medisize is also able to offer contract manufacture of complementary custom-made components and accessories such as ports and saddles.

“The investment further substantiates Medisize's approach of offering customers a fully rounded turnkey service from product design to order fulfilment," said managing director Willem van den Bruinhorst. “Medisize was a key contributor to the development of one of the first weak-sealed bags to enter the medical market. We wish to build further upon our expertise in the sterile container market."
