Meltblown investment in Germany

Published: 6-Sep-2004

Hollingsworth & Vose Company has announced plans to install a new state-of-the-art meltblown line at its facility in Hatzfeld, Germany. The investment will significantly extend H&V's capability and capacity in meltblown production for high efficiency filtration market segments and provide local supply for its European customers. It is one element of a broader nonwoven strategy to meet market demand for technically advanced filtration media in high efficiency air and liquid filtration, and also engine filtration applications. The line is another step in H&V's European investment programme. In 2000, H&V purchased Hepworth Air Filtration in Kentmere, UK, and in 2001 it acquired J. C. Binzer Papierfabrik in Hatzfeld, Germany. Adding meltblown capacity to the European asset base will enable H&V to increase service levels to local customers and maintain its position as one of the leading meltblown manufacturers for filtration media worldwide.
