Millipore extends valve product offering

US life science leader Millipore Corporation has launched new diaphragms able to accommodate three-inch NovAaspetic valves.


The ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) rubber diaphragms have flexible elastomeric properties, designed for bioprocess production.

Design of the EPDM NovAseptic valve solution enables simple maintenance, and the innovative design ensures drainablility, minimises deadleg, and makes the valves easy to sterilise-in-place. The valves are also cleanable-in-place as verified in tests based on European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group (EHEDG) procedure: there is no risk of cross-contamination.

In addition to EPDM, Millipore’s NovAseptic valve offering also includes silicone diaphragms and the unique PTFE valve solution for applications with extremely long service life requirements and need for chemically inert materials and high temperature resistance.

The valve platform is flexible, modular and includes manual and pneumatic actuators.
