Munters, a Sweden-based energy-efficient climate control solutions company, is investing $29.95m in expanding its HVAC manufacturing facility in Botetourt County, Virginia, US.
The expansion, which will see the construction of a 200,000 sqft facility, is set to create 270 new jobs in the region.
The new manufacturing facility will be built adjacent to the company’s existing site in Daleville, located at 158 Shooting Star Way in southern Botetourt County, within the Botetourt Center at Greenfield.
The Governor of Virginia, Glenn Youngkin, has approved a $1 million grant from the Commonwealth’s Opportunity Fund to assist Botetourt County with the project.

Additionally, Munters will receive a $500,000 Virginia Investment Performance (VIP) grant, which supports capital investment, modernisation, and the creation of advanced technologies within the manufacturing sector.
The project is also eligible for a grant from the Virginia Department of Transportation’s Economic Development Access program, which helps localities provide necessary road access for such developments.
Governor Youngkin, said: “Munters’ decision to grow and invest in the Commonwealth underscores the strength of Virginia’s business climate. With 270 new jobs coming to Botetourt County, we are not only strengthening the region’s economy but also affirming Virginia’s leadership in global innovation.”
