NanoSight raises £250k in second round of fundraising
NanoSight, provider of instruments for the optical detection and real time analysis of sub-micron particles, has secured significant investment to support its current sales drive and develop new capabilities in nanoparticle analysis in the sub-500nm region.
NanoSight has received £250,000 from Strathdon Investments.
The company has recently announced the launch of the Nanosight LM10, a robust and low cost nanoparticle characterisation system that enables highly accurate visualisation of individual nanoscale particles in suspension. The system allows the user a simple and direct qualitative view of the sample under analysis from which independent quantitative estimation of particle size and size distribution can be immediately obtained.
The LM10 builds on the work of the company's original Halo system and includes a completely new software package that minimises noise, enables near-real time operation, direct control of the camera and improved centring and tracking capabilities. The new camera and microscope has enhanced sensitivity and optimised image quality for easy setup and simplicity of use.
