New aseptic connection device from Pall

Maintaining sterility is a costly process for drug manufacturers. The Kleenpak Connector Aseptic Connection Device from Pall permanently connects sterile flexible tubing without compromising sterility. According to Pall. it is the only aseptic connection device that does not require laminar flow hoods or other capital equipment to maintain sterility. Its use at critical junctures throughout biopharmaceutical processing speeds the formation of aseptic connections from starting fluid to purified product. Compared with traditional connection methods, such as tubing welders and manual aseptic connections, the device shortens the time it takes to create aseptic connections to less than 30 seconds. The Kleenpak Connector has been comprehensively validated with microbiological and physical tests under worst case conditions to ensure sterile integrity and secure connections for a wide range of process applications.
