New benchtop FT-IR from Thermo Electron

Thermo Electron Corporation has launched the Nicolet ECO/RS FT-IR spectrometer, a benchtop tool for wafer analysis integrated with Thermo's newest FT-IR platform, the Nicolet 6700 FT-IR spectrometer. Able to measure materials with purities often in excess of 99.999% and where feature dimensions are known within nanometers, FT-IR spectroscopy makes for a very fast, non-destructive metrology technique. The Nicolet FT-IR series spectrometer incorporates Thermo's new ETC EverGlo IR source, which provides a stabilised signal that adds significantly longer source lifetime.
