New cleanroom facility for Synergy Healthcare

Welconstruct Projects have recently completed the installation of a 'class K' cleanroom for Synergy Healthcare at New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton, UK.

Synergy who operate the Sterile Services Department on the hospital site, required a controlled environment where sterilisation of instrument trays could be carried out. Welconstruct Projects, in conjunction with their in - house environmental specialists, provided a bespoke solution constructing a double skin steel partitioned cleanroom, and installing and commissioning an entire filtration, temperature control and air handling system. Specialist fittings ensure the sealed area remains free from contamination and a suspended ceiling provides safe concealment of all ductwork and data and electric cabling. Being a self contained department, administration facilities were also required by Synergy, and Welconstructs' versatility allowed them to provide a complete package. A number of offices and a staff room were created using composite partitioning, and a fit - out of the toilet block was carried out. In addition, a large amount of workplace equipment was supplied out of the new Welconstruct Health catalogue. Stainless steel trolleys and chrome shelving units are used within the cleanroom, and office equipment such as desks, and meeting tables and chairs, complement the new modern interior of the offices.
