New easy-to-use particle counters offer faster sampling

US-based Hach Ultra has introduced the Met One 3400 Series portable airborne particle counters for faster sampling, ease of use and reduced technician time.

The 3400 is available in two flow rates, 50 litres/min or 28.3 litres/min, and within a sensitivity range of 0.3 to 25 µm. Long Life Laser technology offers low-cost long-term ownership by extending the instrument's average laser life to more than 10 years. Strategically placed handles, two on the sides and one on the front, enable the 3400 to be easily relocated to various sampling sites for data collection throughout a facility, while a versatile form factor enables both horizontal and vertical orientations of the instrument. Most importantly, according to the company, dual hot-swappable batteries minimise downtime for seamless operation. The colour touch-screen facilitates viewing from a greater distance, while an icon-driven operating system with touch commands simplifies the count collecting process. Data can be transferred quickly from USB ports onto a PC or flash drive, or printed immediately from the built-in printer. With PortAll Version 2 software for Life Sciences, the 3400 provides the necessary regulatory documentation for 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
