The Humicap HM70 hand-held humidity and temperature meter represents the latest generation of Vaisala hand-held indicators. It is said to be a user-friendly meter for spot checks on industrial applications and on -site calibrations of fixed instruments such as the HMP230 transmitters. The meter measures relative humidity and temperature and also outputs dewpoint and wet bulb temperature as calculated variables, mixing ratio and absolute humidity. The HM70 also supports the use of Vaisala's dewpoint and carbon dioxide probes, allowing measurements in multiparameter applications such as greenhouse monitoring, health inspection, incubators and control measurements in building automation. With the chemical purge option, measurement accuracy is also maintained in environments with high concentrations of chemicals. If the probe is inserted into hot and humid processes the sensor preheat option reduces measurement delays by keeping the sensor dry.
