New wiper centre

Milliken & Company, a worldwide supplier of textiles and chemicals is building the first ISO Class 2 @.1 micron (Formerly better than class 1) research and technology centre for the purpose of final processing cleanroom and automotive wipers and for the development of innovative products for the semiconductor, life sciences, electronic, food, automotive and other markets. The facility will include research and development capabilities, including state of the art analytical equipment. The centre will be located in Union, S.C. in close proximity to Milliken Research Corporation. The facility will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2002, and it is expected that the products to be certified by their customers at the beginning of next year. Milliken & Company is headquartered in Spartanburg, South Carolina, USA and employs over 14,000 associates in more than 60 plants in the U.S., Europe and Asia.
