The growing use of cleanrooms in various industries and tougher demands on purity has created a need to develop more efficient protection.

For this purpose, research related to cleanroom clothing, conducted by Finnish company Laitosjalkine Oy has now been completed. The result is the new concept called Laja Clinigo, which includes shoes and garments that protects against air impurities and ESD. The concept evolved from a dvelopment project called 'Risk management in cleanrooms'. Several garment producers and the VTT Technical Reasearch Centre of Finland also contributed to the project. The clothing claims to sustain washing and maintenance and has good particle linting properties.
