Ardmac in the running for Construction Awards for cleanroom project

The construction company has been shortlisted for the Best Commercial Project of the Year in the Irish Construction Industry Awards 2017

Ardmac, an international market leader in cleanroom construction, has been shortlisted for Best Commercial Project of the Year in the Irish Construction Industry Awards 2017 for the West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc B2 Facility in Damastown, Co Dublin.

This award recognises excellence in an Irish construction project completed to the highest standard, with strong adherence to budget and client satisfaction in a healthy and safe working environment.

 

Client requirements

West Pharmaceutical Services wanted a single source contractor to take ownership and accountability for providing a completed production facility within a tight deadline on a greenfield site.

The scope of the services included: Full service design and build, including planning, BCAR, building services, process tool integration, C&Q,  third party independent certification, training and handover.

The scope of the works covered: Site development, new building, ISO 7 & 8 production cleanrooms, warehouse, QA labs, offices, canteen and tool hook-up.

Achievements of note were:

  • Over 100 workshops held to develop original concept and schedule of requirements into smart design solutions
  • Zero safety incidents throughout the build
  • Handover three weeks early
  • Joint teams dedicated to sign off and approval of drawings and technical submittals
  • Integrated C&Q as part of handover and start up

The winners will be revealed at the 4th Annual Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, May 9th at the Clayton Hotel Burlington Road, Dublin.
