Dr Vadim Banine is the first confirmed speaker for the 24th edition of the biennial International Symposium on Contamination Control in The Hague

The International Confederation of Contamination Control Societies (ICCCS) has announced that Dr Vadim Banine is the first confirmed speaker for this year’s International Symposium on Contamination Control (ISCC’18). A biennial event, ISCC’18 will be held on 23-26 September at the World Forum, the conference venue located in The Hague.

ICCCS is an international community for national societies on cleanrooms and contamination control. It boasts 19 members to date. The symposium is organised every two years by an ICCCS member. This year’s event is entrusted to VCCN, the Dutch abbreviation for the Netherlands Contamination Control Association.

Dr Banine is director of the Defectivity Department at ASML, a Dutch company and deemed the world’s largest supplier of photolithography systems for the semiconductor industry. He is also a part time professor at the Eindhoven University of Technology. He is co-author of 45 European patents and more than 50 scientific publications.

Eric Stuiver, ISCC'18 Committee and VCCN chairman, commented: “I am happy to lead the VCCN team that organizes the ISCC’18. Together with the indispensable support of the VCCN agency association we have worked hard to get the programme ready. As a result, we are convinced that the symposium will provide different and sometimes unexpected angles with new insights on the world behind contamination control.”

ICCCS stimulates the development and exchange of cleanroom technology and contamination control courses and provides international accreditation to courses of members that fulfil the IEC guidelines.
