North Safety & DuPont in distribution agreement

North Safety Products are to carry DuPont RelyOn antiseptics and disinfectants and a new Biohazard PPE Kit - items that provide basic personal protection to workers against a broad range of pathogens.

The product offering is broken into 3 groups: Dupont RelyOn antiseptic hand wipes and sprays; Dupont RelyOn multi-purpose disinfectant cleaner (MDC); and North personal protective equipment (PPE) biohazard kit.

Efficacy data has shown the hand wipes and sprays to be effective against a wide range of pathogens including Hepatitis A, B and C, HIV-1, E-Coli, and Influenza, based on in vitro testing.

DuPont's MDC is EPA registered against a wide range of pathogens including Hepatitis A, B and C, HIV, MRSA, VRE, Influenza and Norovirus. Tablets have a shelf life of 2 years and the powder 3 years, making the product convenient to both ship and store. DuPont RelyOn disinfectants offer effective alternatives to bleach for clean up and disinfection of hard, non-porous surfaces after exposure to blood borne pathogens where the potential for cross contamination of critical material exists, the company says.

North Safety's Biohazard PPE Kits also include other North PPE items such as goggles, N95 Respirators, Nitrile medical grade gloves and latex booties. Kits comes in three sizes: small, medium or large.

North's Biohazard PPE Kit was developed by first responders to provide basic personal protection against a wide range of potentially hazardous microorganisms for workers involved with responses or clean up activities.
