Pal acquires assets of Easiwipes

Pal International, the Leicester, UK-based manufacturer of cleaning wipes and hygiene workwear, has made a strategic acquisition in the purchase of the assets of one of its major industrial wipes competitors, Easiwipes.

Ownership of the machinery and equipment of Easiwipes, based in Gillingham, Kent, has now passed to Pal, for an undisclosed sum.

“The move will enable Pal to be more responsive to new and existing customers with increased manufacturing capacity, in both wet impregnated wipes and also in higher quality dry wipes products,” said Richard Brucciani, Pal managing director.

“The company's capability to develop and manufacture own-label products for customers will also be dramatically extended,” he added.

Pal's acquisition follows on from its development plan of adding resources to its technical department, with chemical and micro-biological staff joining the company to further focus on wipes research and development.

Pal's products are aimed at fulfilling cleaning and hygiene requirements in the food manufacturing, healthcare, janitorial and pharmaceutical industries.
