Pharmaceutical sack provides advanced packaging solution
Technical packaging specialist bpi.industrial, a division of British Polythene Industries, is launching the innovative, recyclable Pharmasac range, which has been developed specifically to meet hygiene-critical, internal transfer applications within the pharmaceutical industry.
Post production but pre-packaging, the Pharmasac range protects products from contamination while not leaving any trace or residue on the contents. The range includes antistatic, high-slip and additive-free options to provide greater choice to manufacturers with bespoke requirements.
The Pharmasac range is manufactured using only polymers that comply with the stringent EEC and FDA standards for pharmaceutical packaging. If required, antistatic additives can be added to improve safety by reducing the levels of electrical charge present. This additive also ensures that materials do not stick to the surface of the sack, resulting in a lower loss of product volume.
These characteristics can be further enhanced by a high slip level, which provides a smoother surface to facilitate the easy release of the contents.
Pharmasac also offers enormous flexibility: sacks can be produced in any size from 500 to 2000mm length, 380 to 915mm width and 75 to150µm gauge.
