Safe and dry disconnection from Action Sealtite

Published: 11-Feb-2008

Companies requiring a secure method of moving hazardous or costly fluid products could benefit from an application that prevents spillage or vent into atmosphere.

The Dry Link ultimate dry disconnect coupling, distributed across the UK and Europe by liquid transfer connection specialist Action Sealtite, has a low pressure drop during disconnection, making it ideal for critical applications.

The patented valve mechanism is lightweight and comes in a range of sizes. Two identical discs seal flow in the line and a mechanical interlock prevents accidental opening whilst the coupling is in use. For added safety, the discs must be sealed and closed before the coupler and adaptor can be separated. Interlocks also prevent the coupling halves being opened accidentally whilst disconnected.

The low maintenance hose coupling has few internal components, creating a flow rate that allows high viscosity fluids and even some powders to pass without spills. The adapter and coupler can work at temperatures as low as -29°C and as high as 110°C with the right seal. In some cases the temperature may even be higher.

The system has a maximum working pressures of between 8.3 bar and 14.3 bar

All units are laser etched before delivery to offer full traceability.
