Screen printing business invests in Class 10,000 cleanroom
High definition screen-printing company DEK, based in Weymouth in the UK, has invested £400,000 in a Class 10,000 cleanroom facility to improve the accuracy and consistency of its production.
"Before we invested in a Class 10,000 cleanroom we had a clean environment which didn't really have proper control - now we can control humidity, temperature and levels of contamination," said DEK area manager for Northern Europe Jim Williams.
“The investment has drastically reduced the company's level of screen print rejects since it began operations in January this year.
"It will increase our capacity because there's less waste and greater certainty so we can deliver to customers on time."
DEK's customers include Lifescan, a major biomedical company that owns Johnson and Johnson, and Oxford Bioscience, which produces sensors for cholesterol level.
