Skinvisible contributes to tsunami aid

Las Vegas-based company Skinvisible, in co-operation with its ingredient suppliers, manufacturer and licensee, is donating 2,000 cases (12,000 bottles) of Dermal Defense antimicrobial hand sanitiser to the relief efforts in Asia's tsunami-affected regions. "Survivors and volunteer workers need a product that offers lasting protection from the spread of disease. Independent studies indicate that our patented Dermal Defense formulation kills germs and bacteria for up to four hours per application, despite perspiration or repeated hand washing," said Terry Howlett, president of Skinvisible. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has estimated that as many as 5m people are currently without sanitation, shelter and basic medical supplies in the affected areas.
