SPX's Kendro business expands

SPX Corporation has announced that its Kendro Laboratory Products business has acquired Medical Air Technology Ltd.

Medical Air Technology designs, manufactures and markets microbiological safety cabinets, laminar flow booths and ultra clean air environments for the life science research and hospital clean room markets. Headquartered near Manchester, UK, Medical Air Technology has annual revenues of approximately $15m. "This acquisition significantly expands Kendro's capabilities in clean air technology, including the patented TriMat technology," said Dennis Pope, president of Kendro. "The TriMat solution claims to control laboratory environments in a simple, safe and cost effective way. Kendro is now positioned to provide a comprehensive line of products and services that serve the safety and clean air requirements of customers in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and hospital markets." SPX Corporation is a provider of technical products and systems, industrial products and services, flow technology, cooling technologies and services, and service solutions.
