Syntec Optics opens Class 10,000 cleanroom
Syntec Optics, a US manufacturer of custom polymer optics, has opened a new cleanroom at its Pavilion, NY location. This Class 10,000 cleanroom will be used for the assembly and testing of precision polymer and glass optical systems that are highly sensitive to environmental particulate.
“Not only will the new cleanroom allow us to continue to deliver exceptional quality on current projects, we also now have the capabilities to take on new projects that require the purest of production and testing processes,” said Lori Steffenilla, vp of manufacturing operations. “This is especially key for us as we continue to grow in the medical, biometrics, and defence industries where precision, superior function and reliability are critical.”
The company says the cleanroom opens up further opportunities for Syntec to expand and strengthens its position as a leading solutions provider with a complete range of contract manufacturing services including design, moulding, diamond turning, assembly, metrology and supply chain management.
“The addition of cleanroom capabilities is another step in the process of continuous improvement that helps take Syntec to the next level,” added Rick Arndt, vp and general manager.
