Tax break offer with IWM washer range

The Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) has added the latest EDi range of utensil washers from Industrial Washing Machines (IWM) to its water technology list.


The washer range, which features a stainless steel construction and incorporates an integrated recirculation system to minimises water usage, is now one of a number of water-saving technologies on the government list.

According to IWM, its inclusion on the database could help users offset 100% of their capital costs against corporation tax in the first year. Without such a scheme, IWM claims such a saving would take businesses eight years to obtain full tax relief under the Enhanced Capital Allowances (ECA) scheme.
