Total Clean Air (TCA) has announced that it now wholly owns the modular cleanroom range, Modular Clean Air (MCA).
Originally launched as a joint venture between TCA and Vanguard in 2025, as a standalone brand, the cleanroom engineering and contamination control specialist has now taken on the range as a whole.
MCA’s approach uses precision-engineered modular units, pre-built to exacting factory standards and fully compliant with ISO 14644 and GMP. The result is a facility that provides the permanence and quality of a conventional build, with the benefit of being delivered rapidly.
TCA says that this marks the next stage of development for MCA, with a representative telling Cleanroom Technology that it has “built strong momentum since its launch”.
Now, operating as TCA’s dedicated modular cleanroom brand, the company thinks that the business is well positioned to further strengthen its offering and respond to increasing demand for high-quality modular cleanroom solutions
The move reflects continued investment in modular capability and confidence in the role MCA plays within TCA’s wider growth strategy.
By bringing MCA fully in-house, TCA can offer a more integrated and streamlined approach to project delivery, combining specialist cleanroom knowledge with modular construction under one unified structure.
The TCA representative adds that the team remains focused on “continuing to deliver high-quality modular cleanroom solutions for [its] clients”.
Phillip Godden, CEO at TCA, said: “We have an exciting pipeline of developments ahead, and MCA will play a central role in how we continue to evolve our offer and support clients in increasingly complex and fast-moving environments.”
TCA has previously launched both inflatable and smaller modular units in the last few years, including the Airelab, Flexilab and Modulab

Cleanroom Technology reached out to Vanguard, but it did not respond for comment. The company has started a partnership with Enbloc.
The modular cleanroom sector
Demand for modular cleanroom solutions continues to rise, with the global market forecast to grow at over 12% annually.
TCA states that this is driven by increasing requirements across pharmaceuticals, life sciences and other highly regulated sectors.
The 2023 update to EU GMP Annex 1, as well as the COVID-19 pandemic, made significant changes in these areas in recent years, and the there has been significant shifts in the sector.
This new ownership supports a more efficient, end-to-end delivery model, providing clients with greater clarity, consistency and control across every stage of a project. It also enables closer alignment between design, build and compliance, particularly important for clients operating in regulated environments such as pharmaceuticals and life sciences.
MCA will play an increasingly important role within the TCA group, supporting clients with flexible, scalable and high-performance environments delivered at speed.
