Fabrinet, the Thailand-based engineering and manufacturing services company, has announced the opening of its first European office in Mommenheim, Germany. The office will provide sales, engineering, and customer service in support of Fabrinet's expanding European customer base. The company will engineer and manufacture complex components, modules, sub-assemblies and end user products in a cleanroom environment. There is a also a real-time web-based manufacturing tracking system. "With our growing European customer base, we recognised the need for a local, and permanent, engineering and sales support function within easy reach of our customers," explained Fabrinet CEO and president Tom Mitchell. "The team we have assembled understands Europe and has achieved success doing business in a variety of European languages and cultures."
