TOMI ES demonstrates fogging system in US hospital

TOMI Environmental Solutions, a US specialist provider of environmental services, and ADTec Technologies, a US developer of innovative disinfection products, have conducted a live demonstration of their hospital disinfection process at a large US hospital. The demonstration compared traditional methods of cleaning with TOMI’s Ultra-D room fogger. An industrial hygienist was on hand to verify and record the results.

The Ultra-D generates activated hydroxyl free radicals to kill effectively all potentially harmful pathogens with a (>6 log) disinfectant media.

Dr Halden Shane, ceo of TOMI (ES) said: “We hope that this demonstration will begin the process of educating healthcare organisations as to our cost-effective methods and the lives it will save.”

The fogger is said to be quick, convenient and effective in disinfecting an entire room and all of its contents – beds, chairs, walls, ventilators, IV pumps, Pulse OX monitors, and any other sensitive electronic equipment.

The device uses a Magnetic Resolution Activation (MRA) disinfection process developed by ADTec that kills micro-organisms without leaving residue. It uses a mixture of H202, water and proprietary activators – pumped through an ultrasonic nebuliser. The atomised mist passes through the delivery tube activated by the MRA process to produce a REDOX mist expelled into the disinfection area. www.tomiesinc.com www.adtecbio.com
