Training video spills the beans on hazardous incidents

Published: 11-Apr-2005

Dacry Products' spill kits have been selected for use in a training video produced by environmental communication specialists "Shot in the Dark". The video, entitled "Spill", lasts 15 minutes and is available in VHS, CD or DVD format. Targeted at all sectors of industry, including process, chemical and food, the video covers the complete rapid spill response scenario: raising the alarm; locating the source; clean up, waste disposal and drain protection, deployment of booms on vulnerable surface waters, and health and safety. The spill kit range is designed to enable small to medium size spills and leaks to be dealt with entirely from on-site resources and to contain larger spills pending the arrival of specialist help. Stored in robust, colour coded containers, wheeled bins or simple "economy" boxes, the kits consist of absorbent pads, "socks" and cushions in differing combinations, together with Dammit sealant for damaged or leaking tanks and drums. Dammit mats for emergency drain sealing, goggles and protective gloves. Enquiry card number: 113
