TT refurbishes labs in record time

Thermal Transfer has designed and built a suite of laboratories in just five weeks for the UK's Centre for Applied Microbiology & Research (CAMR).

The project involved converting existing approved containment labs near Salisbury to a DEFRA Category 4 specification to enable CAMR to provide DEFRA with additional testing capacity for the analysis of the foot and mouth disease virus. Thermal Transfer provided a turnkey package including design, refurbishment of the internal fabric, new laboratory furniture and the upgrading of the building's services. CAMR's HVAC systems were also modified and upgraded.
