Vacuum cleaners declare war on contamination

Nilfisk-Advance has launched a range of vacuum cleaners offering filtration up to ISO Class 4. The IVT 1000CR range is available in three models to suit even the most stringent cleanroom demands across a wide range of industries.

The machines are manufactured from AISI 316 stainless steel and are of modular construction to facilitate quick and easy dismantling for inspection and cleaning. They are also designed to be completely leakproof and have locking clamps to ensure air-tight sealing. Except for the motor unit and the HEPA/ULPA filters, the vacuum cleaners are fully autoclavable, and all accessories, such as hoses, hand tools and nozzles, can be sterilised at 120°C before introduction into a cleanroom environment. All three models have a 1200W motor, upstream HEPA H13 filter and a 12.5 litre container. The IVT 1000CR Standard offers 250W suction at the end of the tube and 38 litres/second airflow without the hose. The main filter area is 2100cm2. For applications requiring more stringent filtration, the H-Class option has a down-stream ULPA U15 filter in addition to the upstream HEPA filter. The ULPA filter traps carbon particulate generated by the motor, thus preventing it from entering the atmosphere. For optimum health and safety, the IVT 1000CR Safe Pack version is equipped with a HEPA filtered dust container, which is thrown away after use. This sealed unit disposal system eliminates all human contact with potentially hazardous particles. The main filter area on the H-Class and Safe Pack models is 2573cm2.
