Wipes offer low-linting absorbent performance

BBA has launched a general purpose wipe said to offer good performance across a wide range of applications.

The new SorbyTex wipe has a high pulp content for good absorbency, as well as a low lint presence to guarantee no fibres are left behind during cleaning or polishing projects, making it suitable for use in food or medical areas.

The weight of the wipe is 73gsm and its composition is 47% pulp, 38% PES, 9.5% viscose and 5.5% binder. Its absorption is 450% (ERT 10.4 – 02). This makes the product strong and durable enough to deal with industrial spills or cleaning, while retaining the softness required for delicate surfaces.

SorbyTex is user-friendly in terms of heat resistance and low solvent output. It can be supplied in two sizes – 38 x 32cm or 50 x 40cm – at 300 towels per roll.
