Working under its own clean steam
EC directives state that pyrogen-free steam is now essential for the manufacture of medical devices or product sterilisation services. To help hospitals meet the requirements, Fulton has designed a boiler that meets the recommendations of HTM 2031, for compliance with Euro norm 554.
The Clean Steam boiler is designed for high demand, short-term peak loads of up to 300kg/h.
Made from 316 stainless steel, all internal surfaces are passivated to provide a corrosion resistant surface. The boiler operates with RO quality water, and the tank is fitted with temperature and level alarms with interlocks to shut down the boiler should significant temperature variations be detected.
A number of the new boilers have already been installed in hospital CSSD units with steam quality validated to HM2031 and EN285 requirements.
