Yorkshire Hospital keeps clean with ventilation canopies

Howorth Medical, a division of Howorth Airtech. has won a competitive tender contract to equip the cardiac services department at Castle Hill Hospital with four Exflow 32 Ultra Clean ventilation canopies.


As part of a £250m capital investment programme Exflow 32 canopies will be installed to provide an ultra clean operating zone of 3.2mx3.2m and accommodate all the operating team at the £45m cardiac and elective surgery facility. In addition, flat-screen monitor support and stack pendants, known as eXtension pendants, will be installed into the theatres as well.

The company won the contract after representatives from the hospital visited the company’s showroom. There, hospital representatives were able to view, test and evaluate equipment thoroughly without the constraints of visiting a busy clinical environment.

Castle Hill Hospital is part of the Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
