ABN Cleanroom Technology has completed a Grade C cleanroom for Cryoport Systems in Liège, Belgium, to support the handling and preparation of materials used in advanced therapies.
Cryoport Systems provides temperature-controlled logistics, packaging and kitting services to support the safe transport and handling of cell and gene therapies, biological materials and other temperature-sensitive products used in the life sciences sector.
The facility was delivered using ABN’s Configure-to-Order+ approach, which combines pre-engineered cleanroom building blocks with project-specific process and compliance requirements.
The cleanroom is designed to meet the requirements of a current good manufacturing practice (cGMP) environment.
ABN said the project marks another step in its expansion across Wallonia, where demand for life sciences infrastructure continues to grow.
The completion adds to ABN’s recent portfolio of specialist controlled-environment projects across Europe.
In August, the company began construction of the ViTalent cleanroom training facility and completed a cleanroom for Spanish aerospace company Kreios Space to support its satellite technology development.
ABN has also delivered a modular cleanroom for satellite launch services provider Exolaunch at its Berlin site, completing the installation in three days.
In April, ABN also completed cleanroom infrastructure for semiconductor research organisation imec in Belgium.
