Arcadis has announced that its recently acquired German subsidiary KUA has secured four new data centre contracts this month, signalling accelerating demand for digital infrastructure expertise in Germany.
“With the total data centre market estimated at around €300bn…this represents a multi‑billion‑euro opportunity for us,” said Alan Brookes, CEO of Arcadis.
The combined value of the wins is €8m, with Arcadis and KUA engaged to provide a suite of early-stage and delivery services for hyperscale and colocation developments in Frankfurt and Berlin.
Increasing demand for digital infrastructure
The contracts will see the firm deliver a range of services including technical due diligence, zoning and permitting, tender preparation and construction monitoring.
These services will help clients de-risk investment decisions and streamline planning and delivery across high-capacity sites.
With these four new wins, Arcadis is now involved in 229 data centre projects globally, supporting the delivery of more than 15 gigawatts of capacity, equivalent to the annual power demand of over 11 million homes.
The global design and engineering consultancy firm said that investment in hyperscale and colocation facilities is being driven by growth in cloud adoption and AI workloads.
Frankfurt and Berlin remain key hubs for data centre expansion, attracting both domestic and international operators.
