CWS Workwear and DuPont are expanding their collaboration to deliver improved personal protective equipment (PPE) that is completely bio-based and chemical-free.
“This partnership strengthens our ability to deliver protective clothing that meets the highest safety standards while also prioritising comfort and sustainability,” said Hartmut Engler, CEO of CWS Workwear.
The two companies have been in partnership for over a decade, focusing on developing innovative fabrics and finishes that meet high safety standards while improving wearer comfort.
Key initiatives include new multifunctional workwear collections for industries such as chemical processing, engineering and energy, incorporating advanced textiles and protective coatings.
The Nomex Comfort EcoForce finish, a bio-based, PFAS-free treatment, will be applied to CWS Workwear’s multifunctional protection range.
Scheduled for launch in early 2026, it combines high protection performance with environmental considerations.
Last month, at the A+A trade fair in Düsseldorf, the companies showcased their latest innovations, including fibre systems and live PPE performance demonstrations, highlighting how the collaboration translates into real-world workplace safety and comfort.
