FMS introduces Pallchek Rapid Microbiology System
Facility Monitoring Systems (FMS), an established provider of critical monitoring systems, is expanding to provide microbiological products and expertise. As part of this initiative, FMS now includes the Pallchek Rapid Microbiology system among its product portfolio.
The Pallchek Rapid Microbiology System, a trademark of Pall Life Sciences, identifies the presence or absence of microbiological contamination in less than 24 hours by assessing the presence of a specific molecular marker of the test organisms. This means that companies can take faster corrective action should contamination be identified. The Rapid Microbiology system provides a simple, easy-to-use and cost effective tool to monitor microbiological contamination in final products, water for injection, raw materials and the manufacturing environment.
“The FDA encourages rapid microbiological methods as part of its PAT initiative for improved process control and product release. We are pleased to assist in promoting the Pall Life Sciences Pallchek Rapid Microbiology system in the UK,” says FMS commercial director, Tim Russell.
"The FDA’s approval of rapid microbiology technology as a technique for product release sends a strong message of confidence in the test’s accuracy and sensitivity. It supports more routine and widespread use of bioluminescence rapid microbiology methods,” says Loris Arbizzani, EU Rapid Microbiology program manager at Pall Life Sciences. “Twenty four hour rapid detection facilitates faster movement of products through the system while assuring safety.”
