Airkey has been tailoring all the modular clean rooms over the years to adapt to the ever-changing demands of customers and industries. In December, 2024, Airkey custom made multiple clean rooms for a pharmaceutical manufacturer in Canada.
Challenge:
The customer wants to keep the existing concrete structures, pipe system and sprinkling system.
How Airkey handles:
To fit into the original building, each clean room is built in different height. Moreover, every clean room is precisely designed and built to overlap with the current doors and windows of the building. In this way, the concrete structures can be fully utilized. In order for the clean rooms to use the existing sprinkling system, special ceiling structures are applied. The special T-bars have reserved holes for the sprinkling heads to fit accurately. Therefore, the ceiling grids will flexibly support current installation or future upgrading of sprinkling system.
Challenge:
The customers wants to fully make use of every inch of space for cleanroom considering that each clean room has airlock rooms for personnel and materials separately.
How Airkey handles:
Traditional air risers or air return columns take a lot of space. However, they can not be canceled if we want to ensure air tightness and energy conservation of cleanroom. Alternatively, Airkey proposes to make modular air return wall panels. This type of panels are hollow in between for smooth return airflow movement and on top of the panels there are openings with flanges for connection to air duct system. The most unique feature of such panels lies in that they are flush with the normal wall panels, thus saving a lot of space by replacing the conventional air return columns.
Challenge:
The customer requires short lead time for the cleanroom construction.
How Airkey handles:
Airkey has tons of stock of aluminum frames in different models. Once the order is confirmed, Airkey factory starts to process the frames and produce panels. As our standard practice, we prefabricate and pre-install the cleanrooms in factory first, simplifying the installation process for customers. Specifically, it only took Airkey less than one month to finish production and even the pre-assembly of cleanroom.
