The Clean Motor is designed to limit contaminants and out gassing in vacuum environments. Provided that it operates below its rated maximum operating temperature, it will survive in a vacuum down to 10-8 Torr.
To ensure the minimum amount of out gas in a vacuum environment, the Clean Motor product undergoes special handling and uses proprietary parts. It is made from non-volatile materials, thoroughly cleaned using ultrasonic equipment, and then vacuum-baked at high temperature to extract contaminants. In addition to Teflon wires and high temperature windings, it also contains stainless steel bearings with special lubrication. The Haydon Clean Motor products are processed to consider all possible contamination sources and are then sealed in double bags for handling under clean-room protocols. www.haydonkerk.com
