The Japanese pharmaceutical company Daiichi Sankyo, with its European headquarters in Munich, is expanding its production site in Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm – one of the company's largest global production and development facilities. The objective is to increase capacity for innovative cancer medicines.
Modern clean room technology for highest quality standards
With the commissioning of the new production building in Pfaffenhofen, Daiichi Sankyo Daiichi Sankyo achieves the next milestone on its path to becoming one of the leading pharmaceutical companies in the field of oncology.
Thanks to the integration of the latest process and analytical technologies, the highest pharmaceutical quality standards are ensured. A central component of the expansion is the cutting-edge cleanrooms, which meet the strict requirements for air purity, temperature and humidity control.
Specialised solutions for interior fit-out
Lindner Cleanroom Technology undertook the interior fit-out of a state-of-the-art cleanroom based on design by Koppenhöfer + Partner GmbH. The scope of work included various wall constructions, including the modular Bi-panel pharma walls Multiclean PPH with visible stainless steel wall studs, specifically developed for cleanrooms.
Extensive glazing provides an open spatial effect and enables observation of the processes in the filling plants. Access is provided by various full-glass doors, as well as the swing doors Swing-F MPH made of powder-coated steel sheet, that are integrated flush into the wall system on both sides.
A further highlight of Lindner's services is the walkable cleanroom ceiling Line 80S Type 2, which allows for rapid assembly and flexible exchange of individual ceiling elements, thanks to its modular design. The design of the ceiling ensures safe maintenance access to the installations above, facilitating upkeep and supporting seamless cleanroom operation.
