M+W Zander completes new China plant in nine months

M+W Zander has completed the construction of a new plant in Suzhou, China, for semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies. The new production site includes a 10,000m2 cleanroom. Initial conceptual studies began in June 2003, and it was handed over to Infineon in August 2004. Infineon owns 72.5% of the new site; the remainder is held by the China-Singapore-Suzhou Industrial Park, developed jointly by the governments of China and Singapore.
