Montech offers intralogistics in the cleanroom
A conveyor system developed by Swiss company Montech has received approval for use in ISO Class 4 cleanrooms.
The Montrac transport system features self-propelled shuttles t hat travel to all processing stations with a maximum load of 24kg at a speed of 30 m/min on monorails.
The shuttles communicate with the travel section using infrared technology and the system’s switches and crossings of are electrically driven. Power is supplied directly through the conductor rails so that the system needs no or very little cabling.
More than 1,000 Montrac installations worldwide in a great number of industries document universal use. Montrac is the conveyor system of choice in a variety of companies in the chemical, semiconductor and pharmaceutical industries, for example for the intralogistics of catheters, syringes, blood packs and liquid handling products. A Montrac system is also ideal for productions that include various cleanrooms.
Chaos technology makes sure that rails, switches and shuttles organise themselves to ensure the correct routing of the shuttles. This frees up the control system to concentrate on the production processes.
Montech gained certification for its Montrac system from Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation IPA in Stuttgart.
