Particle Measuring Systems acquires Biotrace Microsafe from 3M

US-based Particle Measuring Systems (PMS) has acquired the assets and business of supplier of microbial monitoring instruments, Biotrace Microsafe, from 3M Corporation.

Biotrace Microsafe's products complement those of PMS, a global provider particle monitoring technology, and will enable customers to receive a fully-integrated solution for continuous and portable monitoring of viable and non-viable particles, says PMS. The combined expertise and experience of the companies will also enable them to offer a range of services for turnkey system integration and cGMP compliance.

Biotrace Microsafe, which has headquarters in Italy, has been co-operating in a distribution agreement with PMS for more than a year. This acquisition allows the full integration of the companies’ operations and product lines. The Biotrace Microsafe headquarters in Rome, Italy will provide a centre of excellence for the PMS customer base in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
