Lab services provider Sanichem Resources has announced an expansion into a new branch in Prai, Penang.
Headquartered outside of Kuala Lumpur, Sanichem is an ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited lab specialising in medical device testing and industrial effluent analysis. "Our accredited test methods include Ethylene Oxide Residual testing, Sterility, Bioburden, Bacteriostasis and Fungistasis, Biological Indicator and many more," the company states in its LinkedIn profile. "We also conduct tests for Industrial Effluent based on Environmental Quality Acts' standards."
The current HQ for the company is located in Negeri Sembilan, an hour outside of the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur. The new branch will be based 400km north, or about a five hour drive.
In establishing this new branch, the testing expert has put out a call for a few new roles at the company.

The company explains on its website that the limited number of companies offering medical device testing services in Southeast Asia in the past resulted in medical device manufacturers in Malaysia and the regioin sending their products to the US and Europe for validation purposes.
"The long distance between these regions led to extended delivery times, delaying product releases. In response to these challenges, SaniChem Resources was established," the company explained.
