Interior partitioning specialist has been selected for Diodes' new MOSFET facility in Oldham

Diodes Zetex Semiconductors has selected Middas, a UK company and specialist in interior partitioning solutions, for its new MOSFET facility in Oldham. The company has chosen Middas M65 mono block wall system and door sets for this project.

The Middas wall systems are designed to offer modular solution for cleanroom with pre-formed corners, column casing and return air ducts.

All wall panels are manufactured to size at Middas UK factory, ready to install with head and floor tracks. This modular approach, the company says, significantly reduces site construction activity and offers a build clean solution, which is key in any semiconductor facility.

Middas wall panels – fire rated FR30 and non-fire rated – are designed to provide flexibility to reconfigure the facility as tool sets or processes change.

As per the door sets, these have been specifically manufactured with increased height to allow material and equipment entry. Where greater access is required, the door sets have been provided with removable side and over panels.

According to a statement in the company website, several door sets will be factory prepared for automation and ready to accept the driver and controls without any site engineering. This would reduce site construction activity. Middas said this approach is part of its “build clean" ethos.

Yellow film has also been added to the vision panels in all light sensitive production areas, fitted as part of Middas’ manufacturing process.
