Sterling and Wilson and South Korea-based Shinsung E&G have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on cleanroom and dryroom HVAC projects supporting semiconductor, battery and display fabrication facilities.
The partnership aims to combine Sterling and Wilson’s engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) capabilities with Shinsung E&G’s specialised HVAC expertise for high-specification manufacturing environments.
Under the agreement, the companies will jointly pursue opportunities involving the design, bidding, acquisition and execution of advanced HVAC systems required for fabrication facilities.
The collaboration will focus on cleanroom and dryroom infrastructure, which are critical to maintaining controlled environmental conditions in semiconductor manufacturing, battery production and display fabrication processes.
Sterling and Wilson said the collaboration brings together its experience in executing MEP projects with Shinsung E&G’s technology capabilities in HVAC solutions for clean manufacturing environments.
The companies will look to support the development of fabrication facilities across targeted markets, including India and the Middle East.
Shinsung E&G, which specialises in clean environment solutions including cleanrooms and dryrooms, has highlighted increasing demand for advanced manufacturing infrastructure as semiconductor and battery ecosystems expand globally.
“India and the Middle East have been very important regions for us and we have sensed a growing requirement for MEP works in semiconductor Fabs and OSATs, batteries and display fabs in these markets,” said Jiseon Lee, CEO at Shinsung E&G.
