Construction has begun on a new laboratory and cleanroom facility for Xeltis at the High Tech Campus Eindhoven in the Netherlands.
The project, being delivered by Cleanroom Combination Group (CCG), will provide a purpose-built environment comprising laboratory and cleanroom space, a personnel airlock, storage and warehouse facilities, and a dedicated technical room.
The new facility is being developed to support Xeltis, a medtech company focused on regenerative implants for the treatment of cardiovascular disease.
The company's technology is designed to stimulate the body's natural ability to regenerate living tissue, with the aim of creating implants that are gradually replaced by the patient's own tissue over time.
According to CCG, the project will require close coordination and high levels of precision throughout construction, reflecting the technical requirements of laboratory and controlled-environment facilities.
Located at the High Tech Campus Eindhoven, the development will expand Xeltis' research and manufacturing infrastructure as it continues the development of regenerative cardiovascular therapies.
The Xeltis facility adds to a growing portfolio of cleanroom developments at High Tech Campus Eindhoven, a European innovation hub home to more than 300 technology companies and research organisations working across high-tech sectors.
CCG said it will provide further updates as construction progresses.
The project follows CCG’s recent collaboration with Kuijpers to deliver a cleanroom facility at Dutch vocational college Ter AA, where the partners completed the project on schedule and within budget.
