Cementex expands PPE task wear range

Designed to increase comfort, the new UltraLite Series garments meet ASTM standards

Cementex, a US manufacturer of electrical safety solutions, has introduced the UltraLite Series Arc Flash PPE Task Wear. The new lightweight garment range meets ASTM standards while offering increase comfort with complete safety.

Developed after years of first-hand market research, the UltraLite Series garment range is designed for use by qualified persons trained in proper arc flash safety in any situation where the risk of exposure to an arc flash is present.

Available in both 11- and 12-cal/cm2 and 40 cal/cm2, the UltraLite Series garment includes a balaclava-hooded long-sleeve t-shirt and simple high-waisted pants. A kit including gloves, a helmet and face shield, and a basic tool kit is also available.

According to Cementex, the breakthrough technology used to create the 40 cal/cm2 UltraLite joins two different materials to produce highly protective garments that are 37% lighter than typical 40 cal/cm2 garments, while maintaining premium comfort, durability, and wearability.

The updated line of garments now features a standard colour gray, which reflects sunlight for heat reduction in outdoor applications. Additionally, the gray garments allow for easier identification of contamination, as well as of any dirt or debris that may compromise the safety of the garment.

The UltraLite Series meets current ASTM F1506 standards and ASTM F1959/F1959M-99.
